German Shorthaired Pointer
The Story Behind the Breed
The German Shorthaired Pointer was developed in Germany in the late 1800s by hunters who wanted one dog that could do everything — point, retrieve, track, and work on land or in water. The distinctive liver-and-white ticked coat is not decoration. It's camouflage. The GSP is one of the most athletic breeds on earth, capable of running 35 miles per hour and working all day without tiring. At night they want to be on the couch. Preferably on top of you.
"Athletic. Alert. Absolutely unstoppable."
