Siberian Husky

aka Huskyaka Chukchi Dogaka The Sled Dog
"Ran 5,000 years across the frozen tundra — still has opinions about everything."
Wild. Beautiful. Wonderfully defiant.

The Story Behind the Breed

The Siberian Husky was bred by the Chukchi people approximately 3,000 years ago. In 1925, a relay of Husky sled teams ran 674 miles through an Alaskan blizzard to deliver diphtheria antitoxin to Nome — saving hundreds of lives. The lead dog, Balto, has a statue in Central Park.

"Wild. Beautiful. Wonderfully defiant."
