Saint Bernard

aka Saintaka Gentle Giantaka Nanny Dog
"Bred by monks to save lives — still thinks every stranger needs help."
Mighty. Majestic. Made of pure kindness.

The Story Behind the Breed

The Saint Bernard was bred by monks of the Great St. Bernard Hospice in the Swiss Alps beginning around 1660. Over two centuries credited with saving more than 2,000 lives. Massive in frame and enormous in heart — patient, calm, unfailingly gentle.

"Mighty. Majestic. Made of pure kindness."
